The Owl Diet – An Alternative to Liposuction in Omaha

With The OWL Diet™ you will lose weight without the scarring, risk of infection, and unnatural appearance that can occur from LipoSuction.

Although death from LipoSuction is uncommon, it has been reported:

NH Shear and GJ Hruza reviewing an article by

“Liposuction is the cosmetic operation performed most commonly in the U.S. Tumescent liposuction, developed by dermatologists, involves subcutaneous infusion of a saline solution of dilute lidocaine, epinephrine, and sodium bicarbonate followed by aspiration of fat through small cannulas…. In this retrospective study, 5 of 1,001 deaths associated with therapeutic complications recorded by the New York City medical examiner between 1993 and 1998 were related to liposuction.  All five deaths occurred during or after tumescent liposuction. Four were performed by plastic surgeons and one by a general surgeon.”

The OWL Diet (Omaha Weight Loss) differs from Liposuction in these five ways:

  • You will lose fat from your entire body – face, neck, arms, legs, fingers and toes!  Liposuction leads to regional fat removal.
  • You can lose fat quickly and naturally, without the risk of anesthesia, scarring and post surgical infection
  • The OWL Diet teaches you how to eat to lose weight, and keep it off.  Liposuction does not teach you new healthy food habits, with the result that you may continue to gain weight after Liposuction.
  • There is no downtime from OWL Dieting.  After Liposuction you will have to deal with pain, bruising, swelling and the need to compression girdles or body suits that are hot, tight and uncomfortable
  • The OWL Diet is a cheaper way to lose 15-30 pounds

Before considering Liposuction, give The OWL Diet 4-12 weeks to lose anywhere from 15-60 pounds of fat, depending on your goal and need.  We see many men and women who are wanting to body sculpt and have found that exercise alone is not enough to lose stubborn mid body fat.  The OWL Diet works for them!  When it comes to fat, Lose It – Don’t Remove It!

Tumescent Liposuction vs. Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction: Which Is Better? George J. Hruza, MD reviewing

“Ultrasound-assisted tumescent liposuction (UATL) is touted as achieving greater volumes of aspirated fat, less blood loss, better preservation of neurovascular pedicles, greater skin retraction, less pain….”

Comment from Hruza MD: “Contrary to expectations, UATL was found to cause more tissue damage clinically, histologically, and at the subcellular level than tumescent liposuction alone. There was more bleeding and cellular disruption (increased hemoglobin, myoglobin, and glutamic transaminase), as well. UATL is useful primarily in fibrous areas, such as in gynecomastia, and in areas of prior liposuction. For most other indications, dermatologist-developed tumescent liposuction is still the gold standard.

I have even had the Lap Band surgery to help with my over-eating, but I was still having a problem with my addiction to SUGAR! Until I happened to go to Omaha Med Spa and there was the answer to my prayers – The OWL Diet. I have previously read information about this diet on the internet not realizing that this was the place that the diet had originated from!!! I am pretty sure God brought me to this place for a reason. With pure excitement and desperation I made an appointment to see Dr. Abbott about the diet. Being a nurse, I had plenty of questions for him! I knew that his was the diet for me. This lifestyle change teaches you how to eat real food! No shakes or bars! I lost 47 pounds in about 2 months. Plus being followed by a doctor and his staff that I trusted – SOLD! H.B woman age 37 I did 2 months on The OWL Diet, lost 30 pounds to reach my goal and I feel wonderful. Then I found Dr. Abbott’s program. I have lost 65 pounds to date and plan to shed the final 10 pounds this month. Thank you! A.S. woman age 53
